We have used Classic Design for the last 10 years for various projects at our home always returning to Steve and Ian for their excellent service.

This has included a first-floor extension for an en suite bathroom, porch and ground floor extension including kitchen installation & hardwood hall floor replacement of conservatory glass roof windows and various garden projects like a base for greenhouse with underground water tank & construction of the unit.

Steve and his team created a fabulous bedroom and bathroom, though it was in the loft it was far more than a standard loft conversion and we are very pleased with the outcome. The contemporary wood and glass staircase gives a great look to the hall along with further refurbishment throughout to enhance our home. The standard of finish is excellent.

Dear Steve and Ian,

Thank you both so very much for helping get our lives back on track, by taking up where a previous builder had left off and walked away from the job he was undertaking on our cottage.

For correcting his mistakes, liaising with building control and making our little cottage water-tight once again and for making a beautiful bedroom extension for our 13 year old granddaughter who lives with us, all within the space of just 4 weeks.

I think you both realise how grateful we are, and following on from the stress and worry of the previous 7 months when nothing much seemed to be happening to have you two friendly and efficient men confidently take over and pull it all together in such a professional way has been absolutely brilliant.

Last year, 2013, we decided to alter our original balcony at first floor level overlooking the English Channel.

As this was a particularly difficult exercise we employed an architect to draw up the plans and submit them, this done we set about obtaining three quotes for the work, presuming we would settle on the one in the middle!

This was not as simple as it sounds as a number of builders walked off with copies of the plans and did not submit a price.

Classic Design were the only outfit to not only give us a firm price, but to cover it with a written schedule of works.

Other prices were achieved, but it was just a simple sentence with a figure appended, and upon checking we found that not all items were included or indeed that the overall specification had been altered.

We called in Classic Design to discuss the job and, where appropriate, negotiate and a final price for the works was agreed.

The standard they achieved was beyond reproach, they worked tidily and cleared up each evening.

The overall effect exceeded expectations. We now have a large balcony sealed with fibreglass and topped off with rubber matting, where we can spend summer evening entertaining our family and friends. The adjacent patio doors were also replaced with much larger double doors off the main bedroom. It may sound simple, but major alterations needed to be made to the existing roof beams and the whole job was carried out with a high level or professionalism by the Classic Design Team.

Subsequently they carried out works to alter the layout of our drive and erect a substantial car port to the front of the property.

The whole contract was so well done that even the recent battering by 80mph gales had no effect.

Would we recommend them to others, YES, we had a first class well run job by an excellent team of workers. Should we go ahead with redeveloping our utility area in the future we would not hesitate to use them again.
